Shine a Light – Blaydon

I’ve recycled plastic bottles into many forms, but this is the first time I’ve fashioned them into tea-light holders. The premise of the Blaydon residency is using the library’s resources to ‘shine a light’ on the past. Liking literal interpretations, I am aiming to only make artworks that ‘light up’ over the course of this residency. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis little one incorporates both Blaydon map segment and boot-scrape snap (spotted on Theresa Street). We’ll be making tea-light holders during free drop-in sessions at Blaydon Library: Tuesday 26th August & Monday 1st September, 10am-12noon.
